The Shop

This is where I work. It consists of a large wood area and a smaller metal room.

First the wood shop.

A right to left view from the entrance showing the machines and storage

Unfortunately the pics that I took were not very good. Will try and get better ones taken.

Anyway in the meantime will carry on

After a couple of bad experiences with modern woodworking machines I found an old bandsaw and restored it. It worked perfectly (more about this machine on another page) and that was the start of fixing and using old machines.

The prime source for most of my restorations has been Braziers an outlet in Pietermaritzburg. Mike has been a great help in acquiring machines. Unfortunately this source has dried up due to a change in ownership.

The Old Woodworking Machines website - Mothership and forums - Forums have been an invaluable source of information and help.
