Delta - Rockwell History

Tauco History

TAUCO was created by Herb Tautz (the founder of Delta Manufacturing Co.) in 1939 and lasted until the late 1950's.

TAUCO had the foreign distribution rights to Delta products. There is some history on the company on the OWWM website. Tauco Export Corporation

The machines were apparently built by Delta and rebadged for foreign sale and most probably used the same serial numbering sequence.

Red Star History

The Red Star business name was registered in the State of Ohio on 10 August 1936 and de-registered on 20 April 1950.

The company was acquired by Rockwell in 1948. Red Star used the brand name "Multiplex". Delta/Rockwell's radial arm saws were originally Red Star Multiplex designs.
